Already have an appt at a body shop this afternoon. Most of it looks like it can be buffed out but it will need paint and some work to get some of the dents out. Police are on their way over here now.

I saw a white honda with some suspicious markings on the front bumper leaving my appartment when I was pulling back in. I'll have to check them out tonight.

well whatever hit ya had dark paint...looks green or dark blue....hard to tell in the photo

well actually it might be from a white car...are the marks on your wheels paint that rubbed off their car or is it from their car pullin paint from the wheel?

Just finished up with the police and big suprise he was a dick. I know there isn't anything they can really do about it but I'm paying his paycheck so he could show some courtesy.

There are some good ones out there, but they seem to be far and few between...and car crunches aren't big on their list of priorities I suppose.

Did he give you a police report/accident report for the insurance company to work with? Would it go under like an uninsured motorist type of event so your deductible might be a bit easier to swallow?

If you act that way in any other job you know you wouldn't be around for long. I'm not a criminal (at the moment) but I was worried about saying something and being put in handcuffs the entire time I was talking to the guy.

He was real nice to one of the leasing offiice girls who has been helping me out all morning. He even told me if he wasn't working on my claim he would be in his car somewhere sleeping. What a dick.

Yeah its sad because I havent given up faith that there are some good officers out there, but i still have yet to meet a down to earth, generally nice officer.

I got the report number and I don't know what is going on with my insurance. I do know I have to cover the $500 deductable but I think since I wasn't in the car at the time my insurance won't go up any. I can't afford it to go up at all. And I really wanted to get a corksport downpipe later this month :(

**** THAT, Walk the **** over as soon as you can and look. Even if he/she is there. It's a free country.

Bring your video camera if you have one..

They were driving away when I was getting back from work this morning. Waiting for them to get back to check it out. Hope they weren't on their way to destroy the evidence or anything bad like that

You will still be able to see it if you look really hard. Even if it was touched with paint and oversprayed, wait till evening and hit the area with Brake Cleaner. It will come off like nothing. The Blue paint will not wash away first because it's embedded and you will have your answer.

EDIT: My wife parked this weekend and when we came back there was a big truck that was 11" from her car, I told her to check the door and surely, there was transfer, She takes such good care of her car and I could tell that she was truly hurt inside. I pretended to check it out and then sucker punched the truck with as tight a fist I could.

Sorry to the owner of the turck, but you are a total **** UP and desreve twenty fold what I did to your vehicle. If you hurt a car, LEAVE YOUR NUMBER, not because you want to pay to fix it, but becasue you SHOULD own up to your mess.

The worst thing is that he didn't even move the truck, he just walked away.

(braindead(braindead(braindead

P.P.S. Ouch, my ******* hand hurts.

Got the estimate. You were so close to what I was quoted. Only off by $1,000 :(

$1203.30 for all the work. Estimated time...hope you are sitting for this one...32.1 hours or 6 days with a rental car.

The good news is I think I found the guy that did it. I talked to the colission guy and he said it looks like dark blue or green paint chips. I get home and lo and behold... blue-green toyota avalon with my color blue paint and scratched bumper. Same height as my damage. Called back the officer and left a message and got some pics of the evidence.

Like I said, it could be worse, heard back from my insuarnce today, $11,000 worth of repairs, and two weeks of work (including shipping of the new engine, which was 9,000 of that 11,000) But at least now you know who did it, and can probably prove it, so you probably won't have to even pay the deductable!! good news for you!!

ah man trick that, i dont think i would have told the cops and did some of my own investingation and used my mini bat in my car to bash a window or ding their car(damage thats really embarassing so they have to get it fixed). my right rear bumper is crushed in and no one fessed up, but i cant do any investigation cause idk when or where it happened. as for the insurance i would have hoped they filed it as "no ones at fault" claim, your insurance doesnt go up, but i think you have to pay the deductible, but if you did it vigilante style, he/she would have to pay for it too, and if they only got liability OOOOWEEEE did they learn their lesson

You grabbed their tag number, right?

I got it all. I'm actually parked next to them right now...think I'll move my car. BRB

if you get the cop to post a ticket on that guy then he will get a hit and run ticket, and another ticket for the acident and that **** has to pay for all of it including your dedutible. all cops are stupid ***** (yes all of you(even the cool ones)), but get this guy back and you can still get your down pipe and the added bonus of beating on a rental car!!!!!!!!
