i'm planning to get some summer tires for this christmas (not using till summer ofcourse) but i dont know which would be a better choice, im getting something around 215/35/18 and its either Pirelli PZero Nero or P7000 Supersports. The Pzeros are actual summer tires and the P7000 are all season. these tires are only gonna be used for the warm weather so even if i get the all season ones they're coming off for the winter. so which one would you guys suggest?

P7000

Pzero

Personelly I'd say neither, but if I had to choose i'd go with the zero's. Just get yokohmam parada spec 2's, I had them on my last car and they were the best tire for sticking turns and such i've ever driven on, they were a tad bit loud but what do you expect with such deep tread.

I don't know which of those would be better but overall, Pirelli Tires Kick Ass! That's all I run on my bike these days. They are consistently stickier and have better feedback than just about anything out there. Michilin (sp?) pilots are really sticky too (bike tires) but you have no idea where you stand traction wise... No feedback. They feel the same right up untill they break loose. The pirelli's are at least as sticky and they're always "talking" to you. Stepping out in a turn is one way to get your heartrate up.

Here's a shot of one of my rear Pirelli's...

I've got the Yoko Parada Spec 2s on my speed. No complaints thus far. Good grip in the dry and we found out the other day when I was running with two other speeds in the rain they are awesome for wet traction. I got mine at the Tire Rack also. You might want to go with 215/40/18's unless you are going to drastically lower your car. I have 18's on mine and the 35 profile would actually make your total diameter smaller than stock. The 40's are just slightly over so it fills up the gap rather well. Here's a pic.

i have nitto 555's and have no complaints thus far. i just got to test them out on some twisties sunday and i was impressed.

Hey man, I have the Pirelli P7000 tires on my MP5, and wow, are these some great tires. They are kinda soft, but they provide incredible unbelievable traction in turns and daily driving. Also, they are some of the best unidirectional tires offered today I think, my dad has been through many tires like this but he says few are this good for the price. I saw someone mention Nitto but arent they kinda expensive? Anyway, I would recommend the P7000's, but if you have any further questions please IM me and I'll do what I can.

yeh i think im going with neros, the yokohamas are nice too but the neros had some higher rating and specs...thanks for the replies

Tirerack.com is good to use as well. The Neros are in the top 5 for ultra preformance summer tires ranked. If your looking for strickly summer tires they should do just fine.
