Any mazdas goin PIR drags? I"m goin wed I think... however i'm being told that it won't be good for practice as... you get 2 test runs.. and then elimination....

Saturday drags For sure though... me and a 350z guy from OSU... apparently he's running 284 whp... so should be fun...

Anyway... for those interested in PIR drags.. and events... we should start a "ring" maybe MSN.. Yahoo... AIM.. somethin... so we can see whos going.. when.. and those that are.. meet up..

If people get detailed with information.. as in times.. dates... and whats required to participate.... I'll probably be at every single one...

I'm new to oregon racing... and PIR... so I don't know jack.... Other than whats posted on PIR's website.. which honestly... isn't much...

Hey I want to do this but I'm a novice .Do I just show up on Sunday or do I have to go through novice school first (which is all booked up on Saturday)? Also with the mods on my car -exhaust,tires,springs,sway bars which run group would I fall in ? The morning or Afternoon ? Or both ? Don't know what PAX class means

You can just show up to one of the sessions and do Time Only. I have no clue what class you would be in. That handbook is so complicated. Bring a SNELL approved helmet and make sure nothing loose is inside the car. Have a battery tiedown(stock is fine). Also just make sure your wheels on on tight. Thats about all they check thats important. No need to go to novice school thingy. Hope to see some of you guys there.

PIR DRAGS HUGE WASTE OF TIME....

Arrived at 6:45.... waited in line... ON THE FREE WAY... for another hour and half or so.... finally in a lane-line... first run? 10:10... Waited in race lines for over 2 hours...

I got 8 runs in.. down by LA... within 2-3 hours... and I wasn't jumping back in lines after each run right away!!!!

WHAT THE HECK... I plan one more attempted at PIR... arriving 30-60 min early.. in hopes of getting a few runs in before the mass' arrive... If that doesn't work... PIR is a lost cause... I love to race... But sitting in line for 2+ hours for each run...

And you can't watch the drags while you wait.. as.. I saw plenty of people doing that... and people pulling in.. infront of them.... as their car wasn't pulling forward.... so lame...

That's one of the main reasons I'd rather get 4- 20min. sessions during track days .Try Woodburn when it opens (if it's not opened by now).

Were you at PIR this last saturday... if so.. TEACH ME.. I saw a few lines moving somewhat more quickly than mine was... however I think thats just luck of the draw... and how much of a complete dick the line manager guy... is being that night... he had 6 lanes to pick from... and... favored some I thinkk.. more than others...

The first sport compact race is tomorrow at Woodburn btw.

I went to PIR last saturday night... lots of cars.

We blew a soft plug on our drag car last night at the Dyno (hopefully not pressurizing the block), so no PIR tonight. Hopefully Woodburn tomorrow if it was just the soft plug.
Good ole Chris made 350 HP before the plug blew so the tuning ended there. Still expecting another 50+ with more tuning.

I'll be visiting woodburn.. and giving PIR one more chance... if anyone else is planning to show up.... We could meet up and b**** about how friggin long we have to wait between RUNS.... help pass the time maybe!

Anyway...

29th (tomorrow)... woodburn drags and Jr. stuff... so... Anyone know what time they start / open the gates? Don't see it on the site...

28th - 29th (today tomorrow).... PIR drags... I think people want to BBQ at my place tonight... so I won't be able to make it... but... saturday.... if woodburn doesn't work out.. Possibly hitting up PIR VERY VERY VERY early... and give it one last chance to get me at least 4-5 runs in....
