PICTURES of PINKY!!!!

i don't know what you people are talking about, i never see pink cars...i think ive only seen like 2 in my lifetime and they are whitish pink...not pepto pink...
in all actuallity though, i love the car...i think the color is ****** awesome...its bright as hell and looks pretty cool...whatever you do dont base your judgement on others opinions...but i gotta give ya props, not many people would do it...but i would think about it...
 
I'am not a fan of hot pink, but I think is pretty cool that you have a turbo so that if anyone starts with you talking smack you can **** them and then they will have to realize that they lost to a 4 cylinder mazda protege 5 and to boot it's hot pink, LOL that has to be funny. Anyway as long as one is happy with their ride that's all that matters **** everyone else. Anyway the paint job must be a plus at shows and with the ladies :D

not my personal choice but looks like a quality paint job cept for they didn't do the door jams and hatch it looks like, one more question though..................

I totally think this car kicks much ass. It is soooooo much sweeter then 90% of the cars on this forum. Its all about non factory paint. (remember that next time you lose to a non factory paint car, at your next show)

As a everday car I wouldn't want it, but agree with Boostisgood. It is a nice designer touch to the car which isn't seen often in the model etc. Overall the car is greatly cared and put together, time and effort.
Remember there are some people here who want to make their car look nice, and others who want to go beyond and make it super nice (which often means drastically different).
 
I gotta say I didn't like the color when I first saw it but that's just because I'm generally not a fan of pink. I do, however, give you much props for being so original. :D Good work! Can't wait to see some interior shots.

One question, though, why the screens on the rear headrests? Is it for the people driving behind you? :p Because when I'm driving along I ALWAYS check out what's on people's screens (and tour buses). The last time I was at a Wendy's drive thru I watched Casper on this conversion van's screen for a good 20 mins. :D I think it shows you care about the drivers behind you. :p I'd like to drive up on some people w/porn though. Ha ha, THAT would be funny! "Mommy! What are they doing?!!!" (rofl)
 
Rear screens for people watching TV in the rear. I've always wanted to have seperate DVD players for each of the rear, but with a function to connect all the screens to one player with a flip of a switch.

And have seen a guy in a old BMW watching porn in the front with his baby in the back!! :D :'( Ohh that was great.

I also do the samething on the highway, sit behind people and watch their movies. Don't know how many times I have seen the Lion King or a Austin Powers movie.
 
I just wanted to toss in my 2 cents. :)

When I first looked at Steve's car, I couldn't get over the fact that it's PINK ! Now that I've hung out with Steve a couple of times, I find myself having more and more respect for the guy. Here's a couple of reasons why:
--This is his 3rd paint job, the quality of the work is killer. It needs buffing, and I probably would have picked a different color, but Steve did a great job painting it...by himself. You can't tell how deep it looks from these pics, but it's a really nice paint-job.
--He installed everything, including his Hiboost kit, himself in his yard.
--He takes constant flack for the color of his car, but he keeps his sense of humor...I don't know if I could do that.
--The guy knows what he's talking about when it comes to modding your Protege. I'm still trippin on how humble the guy was. With all the knowledge he possesses he could be acting all high and mighty like TheMan, but Steve's a cool guy...Just look at his responses to this thread. ;)

Good Job MP5onBOOST! Your car is looking :eek:

Not a hot pink fan either. Looks just like a Cali car. That color just wouldn't sit right here on the East Coast. The turbo gives it some muscle. Like the screens. Good work :D

Iam not dissing you, but since you are the NCCA guru, you get my flame. I guarantee you some of those cars even got overspray inside their fenderwells.

ANy way, steve, it looks cool and would like to see better pics of it for my harddrive and how about some pics of the Hiboost kit!!!

Pirana, I understand what your saying sir. :D Yes, most cars with non factory paint gets points, but if dont badly, with runs, orange peel, overspray,or especially without the door jams and engine sprayed, they get less points then a factory paint. :D

I dont know what shows you were at that the ncca judged, but it appears that the shows you mainly lose at, are non NCCA sanctioned events. I would suggest petitioning the event promoters, and request that the NCCA sanction those events. Pass that info along to your friends, and get them to write letters too.

the judging at shows is ridiculous. im going to s*** in a can and get my paint store to color match it and paint my car with it so i can get extra points next show :rolleyes:

Hahahaha!!! I accually was driving with Girls Gone Wild Dormroom Fantasies on one night on I-20, and accually had several cars pace me for a while. I changed lanes, so did they. It's been a while since I've done anything like that. Don't want to want to get in trouble...

Ok, I'm not trying to be dense here, but I'm referring to the screens in the rear headrests facing the hatch window. My question is why put screens behind people's heads? Is it just for the look? 'Cause it looks sweet. I guess it could be good for tailgating parties... just never seen that before. :confused:
