drop looks good. are those vxfilmers old wheels? i love those enkies in bronze. i wanted them but went with the falkens instead. if im ever in knoxville ill hit you up. car looks 10xs better with that drop
Yeah they're Tylers old rims. Thanks.

Yeah let me know if your in town.

Mmm, the FRONT = LINEAR, if i said different it was a typo. REAR = PROG.

Also the REAR drop for the MP3 or the MSP will not change much at all until you upgrade to aftermarket struts like Tokico HP or Tokico Illuminas.

WHY????? Well it's because Mazda decided to be tricky and they RAISED the SPRING PERCH on the REAR STRUT. Therefore IF YOU TOOK RACING BEAT MSP springs and put them on a P5 it would lower the P5, but the fronts would not. Hope that makes sense.

IF YOU GET ILLUMINAS FOR THE REAR YOU WILL LOWER A GOOD HALF INCH AND SIT NICE AND LEVEL.

There might be a couple sets of these left btw.

Peace, Rishie

Real estate in TN is great!!!

Our house in Florida was a basic 3/2 w/no garage, sold for nearly half a million. Our house in TN is 8 bed/4 bath, 2 car garage, with an underground storage shed, and 10 acres, for only a quarter of a mill.

Oh man, thanks for rubbing it in. lolz. Our 3 bed/2 bath house with garage and about 35 years old is around $650K in Bay Area, CA. Sucks majorly.

Ya i was really really looking at property, annoying my wife. hehe. SHe's like what are we gonna do out here, even though she's the one with family over there.

Sorry to go off topic guys, just saw a bunch of TN boyz in the thread...

well i don't have any money right now, but the drop is absolutely perfect with the illuminas.... i REALLY REALLY wish you could get just that stance with the stock struts. When spending the dough for illuminas and springs i would think i'd probably just save some more for some k-sports instead, i'd love to be able to just buy a spring that gives me that stance like bala de plata has.

Do the rear tires rub at the top of the wheel well when you carry passengers in the back seat or are the springs stiff enough so this doesn't happen?

Nice pics BTW guys. I have a set of these springs to go on in the spring.

No rub - they tuck quite nicely. 18 x 7.5.w/48mm offset and 215/40/18's This thread has some good info: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9129&page=25&highlight=rishies+fitment

and thanks :P

PS - If you are going to run these springs on the MSP - go for some HP's over the Illuminas (if it's a daily driver). I'm running this combo on my P5 and it just feels perfect.

Yeah that thread is one of the best. I have a 2000 sedan with HP's and MP3 springs, Rota Subzero's 17x7.5" +45 offset. I'm trying to decide between 215/45/17 and 215/40/17 ..probably some Falken ZIEX 502's. Sorry to threadjack. I will shut-up now. :-)

It's hard to gauge the difference since the pics were taken at different angles.

sub.....

how much handling do you sacrifice with these springs on stock struts?

Does anyone have pics with stock struts?

aslo these vs the pro-kit any comments?

Oh sweet, that's very helpful seeing all the photos in one place.

You will sacrifice quite a bit imho in regards to performance and ride quality. Especially if you have original struts and standard mileage on em i would suggest replacing them as you will in 6 months after putting these springs on em lowered.

I still like these springs, they are not bad on the stock Tokicos, but...

...I'm getting coilvers next. I'm not wasting any money on buying just struts alone. So I'll wait till I save a couple G's and but some nice C/O setup.
