How was the steering wheel controls integrated?? was it a separate unit you had to purchase, or is it included?

Also, the nav on yours pops up?? weird. the nav option on mine (the 2008) was right in the dash, not a popup model... and i didn't get it. i didn't want to spend the extra $2600 for the option, not to mention there was only 1 available in all of ontario canada.

I would love to know how easy the install was, and if there is someone who has done it on the 2008 model

they will also work on 2008 and newer models. i have the latest model here and i am using a kenwood with this kit :

CAW-MZ7460

it looks like a lot of cables but it is just a matter of seconds to install. works great!

and this is my radio:

DPX-503U

it has full digital iPod control and an optional bluetooth handsfree kit.

Searching for the model number CAW-MZ7460, the wiring kit looks like it's primarily for kenwood models, does it work for Pioneer also? I like that it's all plug and play without any splicing...
If I go to the crutchfield site, it includes a double-din dash cover and the wiring kit for installation but it's not plug & play.

yep, thats for kenwood only.

for pioneer you will need this one here:

That's what I was thinking. I did look for the CA-R-PI.136 one but it always sends me to the European Pioneer website. I haven't had success trying to find a place to order it from.

Really cool setup... I'm just curious how the panel still works. Everyone else who has installed these lost most of the panel's display so... not sure what went right here but I'd love to find out!
