the holes are about 2" apart & side by side... the M is also held on with double sided tape

ok I went out to look at my flying m & the holes are definitely more than 2" apart... more like 3"

& you can buy plugs that are paint matched to your car... or just buy some cheapos from the hardware store and paint them with your touch up paint.
