If you can't reach that page, it says that all of the RMB notes that they tested (over 5k apparently) were found to hold as many as 180k bacterial colonies, with some of the smaller bills even reaching 37 million colonies. Apparently it's the world's dirtiest money. Who knew?!

I would agree since there are so many people and it's value isn't that high. 5K is not a grand test...it's 750 USD. Also, it's pretty relative. If they were testing the 10 cent bill as opposed to the 100 dollar bill, it makes a huge difference how they are treated! What is the test on USD for reference?

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean 5k$, it was 5k bills that they tested. It said that the countries that came in second place, which were Cambodia and I can't remember the other one, had 160k less bacterial colonies than the RMB.. Some of the people in office were pushing for sanitizing measures, stating that it was causing things to spread to less populated areas (ie. stuff outside of Beijing).
I dunno, I didn't read anything about USD on that page. On the other hand, 9 out of 10 USD have trace amounts of cocaine, while only 1 in 10 RMB do.
