I see Phen selling off a lot of cars and buying something nice like a new M3 or MS6, keeping it stock for a while and smiling when it fires up at the turn of the key everytime. :)

All better. :)

And Phen, here's that 5-series I showed you!

1M series...

DO IT!!!

Eh... If I was going to get a 35 of something, it would probably be a 335. Bigger, more comfortable car.

And Josh... looks good! Thanks for taking care of the bumper gap by the hood. Looks much better. Holy s*** on that 5 series!

Not sure how it's supposed to be from the factory, but I got it to close up more than it was. That metal bracket at the top there was bent a bit...

Doesn't surprise me. Just from the picture, I'd say that it's pretty much dead on.

after seeing how good it looks now, you cant say you dont want to put the time in to get it running right :)

Phen, you have been hating on that car so long I don't think you have any other option but to sell it. As much as I hate to say it. Makes sad face...

I still don't know what I'm going to do. I checked to see how much I owe on the car, and how much the trade-in value is. I could actually trade it in and make money off of it. I don't want to because while it's easier, I know what the real value of it is. What I do know is that she's a couple days away from a few month hibernation. I can dwell on my thoughts then. Until then, she's going to be driven until I get off my damn wallet and get the Civic fixed.

Well my friend it sounds as though you are between the rock and the hard place I have heard people mention.
I would let it hibernate, maybe look into getting it running right. Hell who knows you just might fall in love all over again.

I've heard you complain about the car but what are it's current problems? What would you want to sell it for if that is indeed the route you decide to take?

It does this.

Anything over 7psi, and the car feels like it wants to keel over and die, then it picks up, then does it again. First I thought it was knock related. Did a datalog... nothing. Then I thought it was spark related. Changed plugs. Nothing. Borrow Pablo's coils... nothing. Then I thought fuel related. Changed the filter, nothing. It could still be fuel related. Fuel pressure regulator is on the list. It's extremely annoying, and after 9 months of searching, I'm no closer to the answer than I was when it first developed.

I've tried at least 5 different fuel maps, all with the same results. What blows my mind is how two pulls have the exact same "curves."

Meh, that's no good. Did you ever contact Flyin' Miata to see if they would have some ideas for your search for the problem?

I had a thought last night, the Hydra receives vacuum directly right? is there a chance the unit that receives that vacuum is bad?

I like Pablo's idea about the 1M...but a 335 would be much more practical for it's larger size. My co-worker has a new 335...and I thought the MS3 had low-end torque!!! His 335 has s*** loads of torque from 1500/2000 RPMs. It's a fun as hell car, but it's no M3. The only problem with the new BMWs is that it's not cheap haha.

Maybe you should wait until Mazda announces the replacement for the RX8? Assuming you want to stay Mazda. Also, there's some really cool RWD coupes coming out in the next year or 2. There's the Toyota FT-86 and the Subaru BRZ.

Damn Josh!!!! That looks like you guys did a really good job.

Phen, have you thought about going back to stock with the MSM? I'm not sure how much you've done though, so that might not be easy.

Ok, let me just say this about new BMW's. There is no ******* way I could buy a new one. First because of the price. Second... Price up some of the replacement electronic bits. The ECU for a 7 year old 7 series will cost you a few grand.
