Well, you can hardly use the racecar phrase because racecars (generally speaking) run correctly. Just sayin'...
Kidding aside, sorry to see you got hit. I watched a woman back into my RX-7 in a parking lot back when it was new. She too wasn't paying attention. On the bright side, at least it's a part that can be replaced and not one that has to be repaired in place.
Anything can be replaced on a car.
A fender IS easier to replace than a quarter panel though. lol
Well... I learned why the starter wasn't working anymore...
It wasn't attached anymore. Apparently, one of the starter bolts backed itself out and fell off (or wasn't there to begin with), and the other one loosened up enough to start stressing the aluminum. Snapped it right off.

Hahaha. All done. I had to re-wire the knock sensor, but at least I know it's a good connection.
So here's an interesting situation. The starter for the 1.8 cars have 3 bolts. The starters for the 1.6L cars only have two bolts. Only two bolts line up right because the 5 speed in my car is originally from a 1.6L car. So, now it has 2 bolts holding it in and what do you know? The starts aren't as harsh, and the starter doesn't make anywhere near as much noise as it used to. Me thinks there was only one bolt in it this whole time.
