People with msp's who put in the p5 radiator.

The stock MSP bottom bushings fit perfect on mine.

ok so the rubber bushings on the bottom need to be from the p5 cool. thanks guys ill go to the dealer and order them tommorow.

all good. in fact i have the same exct radiator as u. those copper hoses on the bottom threw me off tho. i wonder what they are for.

Dope. Great info guys. This helps me out as well as I am planning on installing a P5 radiator in my MSP. I'm just trying to figure out if the Perrin fmic will fit with the P5 radiator (cold pipe comes straight through the front and requires cutting). I'll be replacing the intake, the exhaust manifold and downpipe as well as upgrading the turbo. Wait ... I could use the P5 radiator from my wifes car ... I'll have all this extra stock MSP turbo stuff I won't be using ... such a slippery slope. (laugh)

The copper hoses are for a tranny cooler in the Automatic p5.

The auto tranny rad. is less expensive then the manual version.

I know the MSP has an oil cooler at the filter. I wonder if the auto tranny section of the P5 radiator can be used as an auxiliary oil cooler?

Quick question cuz i'm doing this install right now. Do you need to buy p5 fans as well.. cuz the stock msp ones don't mount on correctly.

I don't mean to threadjack BUT, I was curious how much you guys spent on your p5 rads and where you got them............

I bought a used P5 radiator and fans for $150 from another member.

Temps have been great even after 25min of track time. I'll eventually buy an aluminum unit though.

i modified the A/C fan... but the radiator fan is way to different. Anyone know if i can just buy the shroud?

edit: goddamn it... radiator cap is different too?? grrhh... If my cap does not fit on this radiator, does that mean its from an automatic?

Thats all i'm asking of the car as well... Just run for 20 mins without pooping on yourself after 5 laps....

Yea the rad cap should fit if its from a manual tranny P5. i'm pretty sure you can't buy just the shroud. hit up some junkyards for some cheap fans

Yea, but the P5 has more surface area and I was able to remove the stock SMIC w/o any extra brackets. I also broke even on the swap.
