PCV Valve Location 2002 Mazda Protege5

Hey guys i am doing a tune up on my 2002 Mazda Protege5, I am thinking of doing the PCV Valve and can't seem to find anywhere online that mentions where it is, could you guys in the know pass on this information for me?

For those wondering Lucy has 137K and i am going to be changing the plugs, wires, plug boot and pcv valve. As well as a full oil change, if you have any advice i would appreciate it!

It's on the back of the valve cover, dead center on the motor.

the PCV valve sits right between the "DOHC 16valve" and "Mazda" encryptions on the valve cover!

I would advise doing coil packs while your at it with that many miles

I replaced mine this weekend and noticed a smoother idle. Just because they are working doesn't mean they are working at 100% capacity.

Good to know, i may consider doing the coil packs. Lucy does have a high idle at start ~2000rpm

Mazda Xedos9 / Millenia supercharge PVC valve is a nice upgrade if you are boosted. cheap from the dealership.
