Painting a Spoiler

I was wondering if it's really expensive to paint a new spoiler so that it matches my car's color? Could I buy the paint from a shop and do it myself? Or should it only be done professionally? I was also thinking about putting some carbon-fiber-looking vinyl tape stuff on the top part, for effect...will that look cheap? I don't want to spend too much, if I can avoid it. Thanks for the help.

A shop could do it for cheap, I would guess $50 or so. Vinyl won't last and IMO would look cheap.
