Very nice... this will help me convince the wife to let me do hers... probably going to go with red, but I'm not sure how that will look on liquid platinum. Guess we'll find out.

dude that is sick, I wish I got a black one instead of gray...

Oh well live in socal sunny and hot 10 months out of the year!!

If you did that to the stock cx9 rims it would look even pimper!!

I am planning on black wheels and was just wondering yesterday what black stockers would look like! Awesome! I have some aftermarket one's in mind, but have been wrestling with whether to do hypersilver or black. I think you just made up my mind for me! :D

How many miles have you driven since you painted them? Does three coats of paint seem to be enough? Do you get any (many) chips? I agree this does look nice. I wonder if the wife would mind driving on a doughnut while I do one then the other?

i painted them around the end of april. Since then i drove probrably 4K miles with them and no sign of wear or chip yet :D. Just make sure you dont wash u're car for 4 days after doing it.

My supplies were..

1. 2 cans of primir
2. 4 cans of enamel engine black paint
3. some sandpaper and some tape.

First wash u're rims to were all the dirt is gone.
Easy? Well for the next 24 hours sand off all u're rims till your arm falls off....well sand the till the paint is gone and smooth then wash them again. Then you tape off your tires and your ready to paint.

First off use the primir...first coat should be a very very light coat..then wait around 10mins then spray a second coat..should be a slightly heavy one ..then wait another 10mins and spray a 3rd one.

Next do the same process with the black paint except use the entire can for each wheel thats why i got 4 cans. hope this helps you =D
