i just got my 2003.5 powder coated black and i think it was the best thing ive done cosmetically so far

I know two here in Atl. one painted his '03s a darker gun metal than the '03.5s and the other has Gold MSP rims on his Black P5. Here is a pic of the Gunmetal ones and I can post a pic of the Gold ones from home.

...lol they are the same rims. they have so many layers of paint on them by now they are impervious to radiation

yeah the dark grey ones and teh gold ones are the same rims, but that doesnt really matter on how they look, if they were only done once they are fine. Shadow painted them grey himself, and the gold ones were painted by the new owner, who is a automotive painter and used auto paint and clear, so they were done really nice and are holdign up nicely, he took them off because he needs tires, but no damage to the paint has been done. my apologies about the pictures, you'll kinda have to look past my car to see the gold msp rims. thought i had a better picture but thats all i could find

if you brought them here to GA $50-100, but I am not sure about if you took them to any place, a bunch of us are friends down here with a painter, so we get some what of a hook up.

my painter lives about 15 from me, but a large group of us (GACC) get together weekly, if you are to do it I would just need to have a date a little ahead of time so I could let him know, he would have to do it after work. Do you have any spare rims? easy access to take tires off and back on? I'll give him a heads up now and tell him it is possible that you want it and get a def price for you, after that we could go into more detail about color and what not. i know it isn't for sure right now, but I try to get as much side work as i can for him and I usually tell him about every job i discuss with people. If you want to PM him his screen name is blackedout_p5, but I don't think he has ever made one post or really even logs in much. I vouch for his work though he has painted my fender, door, trunk, front bumper cover, and lip. Most of that on seperate occasions too.

He paints for a Ford dealership in thier body shop. I talked to him last night about it, he said he could do them for $150, becasue he would have to buy the paints, but it is still a heck of a deal. Just on my car he has painted/ repaired the front bumper and lip, repaired/ painted my drivers door, painted a new left side fender, my radiator shroud, and shaved and painted my trunk lid. One spot on the lid has a little run in the clear, but only if you are looking for it. He has also painted Rogue's rims, and they were difficult rims to paint, so there was a little run in the clear coat in between some of the narrow spokes. The RHs he painted for himself are perfect with no runs. But Rogue is going back to him for his hatch and rear bumper replacements. I forgot to mention he painted all of mine and Rogue's badges indivdually. Mine are body matched and Rogue's are the same color as his rims and engine colors. If you're still interested just keep in touch with me on when so I can give him a heads up and congrats on the upcoming baby, you have my best wishes. We meet in Roswell weekly and different places about once a month or two for larger meets, or mountain runs. Lots of us autox here too in the Atlanta Region SCCA.
