Painted Interior

yellow interior anyone?

I'm going to do my interior in yellow and I was just wondering if anyone has done theirs in yellow and where they found someone that has the P5's vivid yellow (HZ).

I checked Dupli-Color and they don't have the same yellow to match. They do have other yellows but I also don't know how other non-matching yellows would look:confused:

Ideas, pics?:bs:

I read this thread a couple days ago and got so excited that 5 minutes later I bought a can of dupli-color spray paint and went for it.. I just finished spray painting my interior and it looks great!! (I'm trying to get some pictures taken) I painted parts of the doors, the steering wheel, the right airbag, the area around the shifter, the stereo and heater piece, and some other stuff.. It's a dark red (They were out of the silver base coat), so it's the same color as my car. Thank you very much for this thread, I couldna done it withoutcha!

If you look at my website Stou design you'll find that I have a little bit of experience in painting :D

Not to get off subject. Stou, I am getting my bike next month and want custom painted helmets for my wife and I. I have been looking at Troy Lee Designs but $1,200.00 per helmet for the paint plus the cost of the helmet is a lot more than I want to spend. I would be out of $3k . Are your prices similar? Great work by the way, I had no idea you were so talented! (Officially kissing up)

Yeah, our boi has mad skills in his trade! (wow) I'm gonna have to come down there and learn some basics about riding a bike when I get my car fixed Will.

Hey PRO 5

Hey PRO 5 looks great. One thing that would complete the interior pacakge. Paint your steering wheel red on the sides like the MP3's with the silver.

wow melvin that looks sick! I really like what you did... one question for yall... you know the material on the door that surrounds the door handle on the inside (if u look up a few posts and look at melvins door, the material i am reffering to is the fuzzy material he left black) how much would it cost to have that replaced with a differant colored piece in both the front seat and backseat??? yall even knwo what im refferring to? lemme know.

is there anyway to paint the shiftboot without it lookin like s***?? are yall removing the parts of the door, gauge cluster, or steering wheel when yall paint (yall meaning melvin mostly) ?? so many questions.... sorry

how did you get the sterring wheel off to paint it???

Im trying to figure that out and being a girl and stuff Im having a hard time with it........LOL!

replace the shift boot dont paint it.
all parts removed! and some are more of a paint than others.

A reply! Thank you thank you thank you thank you! :D :D :D
Anyways.. I know what piece you're talking about. I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures in these forums where people have changed the part (I'm not sure if they just painted it or what) Although, I'm not sure if that piece comes off, you might have to strip it and glue something else on... But don't ask me.. It's just a wild guess.
I didn't take off the steering wheel, i just put a lot of aluminum foil and tape around everything else (it wasnt the best idea, I accidently sprayed a little bit of the gauge cover, but I forgot about it until now.. sniff.. )
For the other stuff, I had to take out the piece around the gauges, a couple parts off the door, and whatever else I was able to remove, I painted it. It's not that hard taking that stuff out.
I'm not sure about the shift boot, mines an automatic ( :D ) so I just painted the whole thing down there. Don't they have those things in all shapes and colors for sale? I dunno. Good luck! I'm happy to help.
