Has anyone ever had there tires replaced on their harts and had the tire place scrape off paint trying to get the old weights off the inside of the rims?

I had new spec 2 tires put on last week and I noticed huge gouges where the silver paint is gone and you can see white on the rims from them removing adhesive from old weights..

I had to settle for $100 bucks back from my original price of tires put on.

Now I need to replace them, has this happened TO YOU ?

HERES SOME PICS.

That really sucks. I would be pissed...could you imagine if your rims had the external weights that go on the lip of the rim and they scratched that? I'd be raising hell!

I think they would figure it out, would be nice though, I just have to find out whate color paint to use to do myself

Great. I was worried about this, because I'll most likely need my first set of new tires this summer. Is there any way to get the inner weights off without destroying the finish? Because if there is, I'll do it myself before I have them mounted, or make damned well sure that they be careful.

I have yet to find a tire shop that is half way compitent (spelling?).
Going to get anything done to my tires or wheels is like going to the dentist for me I hate it!!! something ALWAYS comes back ****** up!

Im actaully having that happena little bit on the front of one of my wheels..it sucks... I feel you man

i'll keep that in mind, im going to get a new tire thursday, needless to say im going to be getting a set of volk te37's this summer so....... hopefully they wont screw either set of rims.

Thats nothing. I'm the second owner of my MP3. The first guy didn't know how to change his tires i guess. Instead of marking on the inside of the tired with chalk, the idiot went and etched in the tire sides into the actual inside of the rim. Like RF and LR. I mean, what an idiot. The rims are pretty much phucked:mad:
