Pablo's MSP maintenance thread

Hopefully the link works. And forgive my shaky hands and crappy phone quality.

The doors are now free of adhesive residue, and the passenger seat is done. 2 things though: the battery box makes it a bit uncomfortable, I could stretch the right leg but not the left... and the electric shut off box was hitting my right shoulder. I'll have to find some padding for that.

What kind of seat is that? It doesn't have the pass-throughs for the shoulder belts?

Not to be an a-hole or anything, but I wouldn't ride in your car with the electric shut off in that location. I don't care how much padding you put on it, if you get in an accident it's going to f-up your passenger. How hard would it be to move?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe behind the parking brake where you are still able to get to.

Don't know what brand the seat is, but it only has 1 pass through. As for the box, it is welden in and was not designed with a passenger in mind. It can be moved, but I would need help with tools. It is not more comfortable with padding, so moving it is the better option.

I think the original location was intended to make it easy to be accessed by safety personnel. Not sure if moving it to the center of the vehicle would satisfy the intended purpose.

Outside of the car, between the hood and windshield is a common place where I've seen them

That's a very common place to the fire switch. Definitely a good place for the electrical shut off switch.

The box was bolted in, not welded. I removed it and will find a new place for the switch. Also removed the batter box, since the Odyssey I have is a dry cell I don't technically need it.

I'll run it this way till I get the TT license, then I'll put it back like it was.

Switch was relocated to the dash next to the window, only need to mark the ON - OFF positions. New vinyl should be here on Friday

do you want the rear lip off of my protege? its the wings west

I was thinking about asking you how much you wanted for that, but then I forgot I was making a cf diffuser for mine when I get some other s*** done.
