Pablo's MSP maintenance thread

Someone messed up, just like someone sent me 3 bearing seals when the sticker says 2. The part number is correct, so I'm guessing someone else has my nuts and I have their screws.

Phrasing... :D ;)

my kids love it lol

^^^ Holy random post.

Umm... Yes. But I do like that sun visor...

LOL on both the random ass post and your new axle nuts. I've had that happen before.

Bought an axle puller adapter and borrowed the slide hammer from Jake, won't be able to try it till Saturday but hopefully it works.

HAHA MOTHERFUCKER! (that is literally what I said when it popped out)

The left side is done but I didn't get the hub yesterday, looks like it'll be done on Tuesday. The subframe was in the way, so I had to hammer the puller tool for 1 ******* hour to get it behind the axle. 30 pulls later the ****** comes off. Couldn't get the slide hammer in straight so I'm gonna have to fix the tool before it can be used again.

Anybody know the torque specs for the axle nut?

Closer than most uncalibrated torque wrenches!

News from the continent!

Turns out the hub was @ Phen's house since Friday... when I picked it up yesterday I was sent a rear hub, which doesn't fit. The correct part is supposed to be sent today so hopefully it'll make it here on Thursday. Today I'm going to pull the fire extinguisher out and see what needs to be done to put the passenger seat in, got the brackets so I have everything I need. Maybe I'll test fit my camera as well.

Today I almost got done taking the fire bottle out, need help from someone with 1 nut (its under the car).

Also, I signed up for NASA HPDE 2 on August 24 & 25, looking to move to HPDE 3 at least.

What's the rush? Why not bop around in 2 for a while and get the feel of the car?

Shut up, you make too much sense. Guess it'll be OK, 3 and 4 are running with TT according to Marc, that would give me a feel of how they run.

Ha. Just wanted to mess with you from halfway around the world.

Just a 10mm, the thing is I can't reach the top and bottom by myself. The nut looks a bit rusted so I couldn't get it free with just a screw driver or a wrench.
