Pablo's 2004 MSM Build

What's wrong with the wheels/tires on your car now? Like Will said, I would say rollbar first so you can do your track days. Too bad Miata's are 4 lug, you could borrow a set of my wheels since I won't be using them anytime soon.

But if you do get wheels, I like those K1-TS's the most. Not that our opinions really matter. ;)

that's a good point. There's nothing wrong with my wheels, I could just get the roll bar instead of the wheels and a grippy tire for this year...

Shoot, I forgot about lightweight wheels for DD. Two of my Enkeis got bent from DD use and those Parma roads aren't too hot.

And I understand new wheels make any car look soooo much better and it's fun shopping for them, but the roll bar and track time would be money spent more wisely.

Well... lightweight wheels and 15's will have enough sidewall to offer more protection than the 17's do. Probably the reason that 3 of my OEM wheels are bent. Once I get something to replace them, they get to become pop cans.

i'm thinking i'll just keep the rfp1's for now...16x7, get some new rubber for them...the roads here are just awful, already replaced one of those rims! maybe just get some H&R 10mm spacers to push the wheel out a bit...thoughts on spacers?

that's cool, its still information on the car. I know the ROTAs need spacers since they're +10.

I have decided to get tires and the bar instead of wheels, won't order the bar till July since I won't do an HPDE till August. In the mean time, I'll get the tires and a short shifter. I looked for one right after I got the car since I loved the TWM on the 3 and the tranny felt really sloppy on the test drive. I didn't find a good one but there seems to be a very good option from MiataRoadster, some people keep saying its truly amazing, especially if you track the car.

Other than that, I'm waiting for Marlon to find the mbc, if he doesn't then I'll just leave the boost alone for now. I ordered a visor blanking plates since I don't use them and a short stubby antenna, I don't like the power antenna and I don't use the radio that much anyway.

got the plates right after the post

here's the shifter, click on Brian K. at the bottom to read his thread of the install. This is the one for the MSM but you can choose the one for the regular miata, same price though

I installed visor blanking plates today, I don't use them given my height so I thought it would be a good idea. Somehow it looks cleaner and more spacious, it might be a placebo visual effect but for 18 bucks I can't complain, here's a before and after pic

But then he won't have the monies to buy the roll bar and do his track days... (I'm the angel on the other shoulder. haha)
