removing the third brake light is definitly not illegal, that'd just be retarded...y'know i've always wondered though if you have a cf hood and since what i've heard about cf dictates that its not only lighter but stronger than the metal you're cars already made of then if you do a header into a wall or poll or whatever, well it crumple with the car or will it receed into the car and take your head off? i dunno, just a thought.

illegal? here in IL, and not many people know this, you only need ONE brake light. read your statutes, they differ from state to state, but i doubt its illegal.
i like how it looks, i'd like to see a pic on the car as well.

Let me TRY to clarify...
Our P5's come with a brake light on the "wing"... for the sake of arguing, i'll call it the "3rd" brake light... sedans have this 3rd brake light on their rear window. The question is: since the carbon fiber wing does NOT have a 3rd brake light (unlike the factory wing), can a cop ticket me for that???
1. I'm swapping the factory wing with the carbon fiber wing (no brake light).
2. Do i need to install a 3rd brake light somewhere (on the rear window like the sedans)? or do i just install the carbon fiber wing and freaking don't worry about anything????
man... i hope that clear... i don't know the law... can someone who know the law shed some light?

dude its not that hard! you wont get ticketed. and honestly, cops have better things to do then right a stupid little ticket for that that would probably get thrown out. as long as your main light work you will be fine.

Damn!! I didn't get the wing installed today... they were really busy... i gotta wait until the weekend....but i took a pic of the wing sitting on top of the original wing, just to give you an idea of how it might look on the P5...
like i said.. i only want 1 wing on my car... either the factory or the carbon fiber... i reall love it... i hope it'll fit...

You could almost buy the DG CF hood or a lot of other stuff like CAI and exhaust etc..

i was thinking the same...i want more than 1 piece of cf or fiberglass!!! trying to decide from the two:
1. DGM downforcers = thin and probably won't rub (probably because i lowered my car) and nice with red letters, cheaper
2. DGM fiberglass (or one from my buddy) = thicker (will most likely rub), very nice, but more expensive...
i'm leaning more towards the downforcers because they will most likey not rub... i'd hate to drive around draggin my front bumper.
i really want to put that damn wing on today... after work, i might drive around lookin for a shop... wish me luck!
does fiberglass have that "checkered" pattern like carbon fiber?

I would go with the DG downforcers they look cool probably easier not to rub and its something different than all the proteges with lips just my opinion though.
