No..But when I tear down the P5 Tranny for the LSD..I wanted to know if there was anything Else I should go ahead and Replace IF ITS WORTH IT while its apart.There are small other internal various differences like one of the shift forks, 5th hub assembly, synchro, counter shaft, and other little bits and pieces. The ratios are the same.

I've never heard of this..Are you sure the Splined ends arent the same just the center section is beefier?the msp trans swap requires the larger axles as well

I always knew they were swapable.I'm sure its hard for you, but don't act like you are all knowing when it comes to Protege's. If you were you would not of even asked the initial question. But to answer your question, no I did not know it.
