I just put two Yokohama S-Drive's on the front:

Before that there were Falken Ziex 512s on all four wheels. They were not wearing well so when one suffered a nail through the sidewall, and there were no new 512s available to replace it, I changed one pair to the Yokohamas. The S-Drive seems to be a tiny bit louder than the Falkens were, but otherwise the car drives about the same. These are summer tires, but here in LA that pretty much makes them "all season" tires. (I don't remember the last time I drove near, let alone on, snow or ice.)
Also, be sure to read tirerack's full review. The front page for the S-Drive said that it came in third in their most recent tests. However, the best scores were 6.95, 6.94, and 6.93, which to me is really a three way tie.
