P5/MP3 headlight swap

For those of you who have done it.... swapping out our headlights for the P5 silver ones.... it would be great if you can point out some stuff i need to know before i go ahead and do this........ the wiring harness...etc...

its trial an error if you have no idea what to do.....i burnt out a few fuses when i did mine.....

Or would my origional ones work?



any other tips? i know NOTHING about electronics....lol

i want to do this also, i would think you would need different light harnesses b/c it uses an extra bulb from what i hear. With a simple voltage tester it shouldnt be too tuff.

BTW, where did u get the p5 lights and what did they cost ya?

Someone i know is changing their headlights to the 2003 blacked out ones so their silver ones are expendable

well the stock harness works....thats what i am using...you just have to tap into certain wires....there are only 3.....took me a while to get them right....

i was under the impression that the p5 lights had a different bulb for high and low beams. Wouldnt you need the light harness from the p5 b/c they plug into the back of the light bulb???? I would think if you traded they would need your harness and you would need theirs. But im just assuming and you have actually done it. So im probally wrong.

yeah you need to get high beam harness...got mine at pepboys for $5 each....you can tap into H4 harness to high beam harness...the h4 work for low beams.....i got my headlights from aguy here in houston.....
