I have a 2001 Mazda Protege LX 2.0.
I just noticed that when I click the overdrive button nothing happens.
Not sure if the button is just not working or something beyond the button.
It clicks as normal, doesn't feel or sound any different, no light goes on the dash, the engine doesn't downshift.
What might cause that other than the switch, a sensor somewhere? I don't have an error code checker to check out.
Is there a sensor somewhere that might cause that?
I got into a small fender bender in a parking lot about a month and a half ago and havne't really used it until now so maybe it rattled soemthing.
