Optimal Toe and suspension settings?

Hi folks,

Does anyone know what they've successfully used for their Toe suspension settings? I'm looking for set of metrics I can provide the Firestone technician this week.

I've done some extensive searching and can't find any specific recommendations for the toe suspension settings online. I'm looking for a cure to rapid wear on inside of tire and the fact that the car seems to drift to the right.

Background? So I've got an '07 Mazda 5 with 49,000. I've just bought 4x Bridgestone Ecopia tires and the lifetime alignment from Firestone. These guys did the alignment with the set of old tires which were wearing badly on the inside (Sumitomos that were warrantied for 40K, but nearly bald on the inside of the tire after 20k of use. Discount tire rocks, BTW. They gave me $82 credit per tire in honoring the warranty when NTB and Mazda dealership wouldn't touch it.)

The car noticable pulls to the right on the highways or any road. I want it to track straight. And I want optimal life out of my new tires.

This is prob not the best place to ask about alignment specs -or variations for different purposes so there's no optimal setting. I would be interested in hearing what people are running with for future reference.

Another way to look at it is to check if Mada5 and Mada3 use the same factory alignment specs. If so, you will find more results in the Mazda3 forum.

The tire wear issue you have is common for ’06-’07. Search in the Suspension sub-forum and you’ll find a lot of threads.
