Opinion on these wheels?

I'm looking for some 17's for my p5. Stock suspension, and pretty sure I won't be lowering. That said, would I be better off sticking with 16's?

My pro5 is Midnight Blue

Anyhow, what do you think of these? They look like a 17" version of the MS3 wheels, which I think personally look awesome, if a bit too big on the p5. These might just fit the bill?

And given that they're a 55mm offset and 7" wide, there shouldn't be any trouble with them rubbing on 205/45/17 tires?

At those prices on the Enkei's, it might be worth ordering from TireRack and just driving over the border to get them.

Thanks for the input! I really like the gunmetal finish of the Kosei's, but I think the seven spoke design of the Enkei's, and the way the the spokes extend to the rim (makes them look bigger, or rather makes the Kosei's look smaller) is swaying me in their direction. If you use the "view on vehicle" on TireRack you can get a pretty good idea, and I think both look awesome. Decisions, decisions.

Hank3: thanks for the link to those Konig's! Some of those are so incredible, and great prices. I'm not sure they'll ship up here to Canada, though! :-(

That's the only reason I like the Enkei's better. The Kosei's color is nicer, but they look smaller.

im going rogue and saying i like the replica ms3 wheels and no you won't have any trouble with rubbing with them. I have seen them on other p5s before and really really like how they look on our cars. give the car a much sportier look without being obnoxious or out of place. I actually think they look better on the p5 than the ms3s.

Well now I'm torn again! The replica wheels are somewhat cheaper too, and I do really like how they don't look very aftermarket.
I'm looking for subtlety; nothing garish or very clearly tuner, personally. I think they will almost work even better than actual ms3's, given that they're 17's and not 18's, too. I know the picture on the site isn't great, but could somebody try a photochop? Or even just a photochop of ms3 wheels, but proportioned to be 17" on stock suspension.

Here is the best I could find quickly. Its a RHD p5 with eibach springs on stock struts. I think this looks awesome and these look at tad big so the 17s will look great.

That was the picture that actually inspired finding these wheels! The replicas are slightly different from the ms3's too, in that they have a slight twist in the spokes whereas the speed3 one's are essentially two 5-spokes that are overlayed. That, combined with being slightly smaller would make them perfect for the p5, imho.

I think those might be the top of the list. Going to wait until the current tires need replacing though. Just got the car and it has brand new Kumho Ecsta's on it, so there's no sense in replacing yet. When the time comes, however...

Those replikas are ok but don't think I'd spend $173 per wheel for them. I'd choose the Koseis simply for the weight savings 14.1lbs ea...wonder what the replikas weigh in at? Might have some rubbing issues though with the +42 offset but more than likely only with some weight in the back.

Also from what I've found 1010 is overpriced. If you find something there you like, shop around and you can find it cheaper. As for that link that Hank posted I like the Konig Kilograms.

CT3P5-- I somewhat agree. I doubt the replikas are as good quality, and 1010 is pretty pricy. The problem is that we don't have tons of options up here in Canada. I know tire rack will deliver, but it's pricy. It's really just better off to drive down and get them installed in the states, so I think that's what I may just do.

Unfortunately I think I was jumping the gun a bit. The vehicle I thought was a sure deal ended up falling through due to some sketchy history that turned up, so I'm actually back on the market.

Anyhow, time to drool over more wheels while I search. I agree that those Kilograms are awesome, but they only come in 18x8, so that's pretty much a no go without rubber bands right?

Damn...thought he had edited the post and the Kilograms were also available in a 17". Even though he doesn't have them listed it can't hurt to ask him...he may be able to get them in a 17". And yes, 18's require rubber bands, 215/35 to be exact.

Also, what would you think for a Vivid Yellow p5? I really like how gunmetal works on the VY p5's. I won't ever go black wheels... I feel like they just disappear too much, and I think it looks too tuner for me. But a nice, dark, anthracite grey/gunmetal? Mmmm...

I think i'll be unable to afford wheels for a while, though, so I think I might try graphite duplicolor with a lot of clearcoat on the stockers. With VY, I think that should be pretty slick.
