Ongoing cosmetic DIY and more....

gettin clean lines all the way around was nearly impossible... even following the stocker as a template.. too much flex, it was just no good.

Here are some pics of the finished (for now) product. I can think of a few things that I still want to do to finish it off, but this will do for now. The car is dirty, oh well. I guess it will get a wash before the weekend.

Thanks....I think the windshield washer reservoir should be next. Gloss Black I'm thinking.

IT sounds sweet as hell also ripping it up every time we all tear down the tollway btw!! I had to tell you!!

Anyone know how difficult/expensive this would be to put back together?

- JIC Titanium exhaust (needs to be welded back together) - (over $2k new)

Any idea how reliable the welding would be?

s***! What happened to that thing?
Cody has a Racingbeat catback dual muffler and it sounds very nice... kind of subdued and deep at low revs and when you get on it it screams. Kristen told him to buy one new it would be around 400 bucks.... And is that exhaust just a CBE? Headerback?

Racing beat is 675 new, and this is a catback.

you need to find someone who can weld titanium for starters. i wouldn't buy that, it looks rode hard and put away wet.

I second what Ken said. That fool looks used up. I never welded Titanium so I'm of no use to you there man. I also no longer have access to welding equipment.

I believe titanium needs to be tig welded which is not only expensive, but requires a certain amount of expertise to begin with. Now, to be clear, none of the titanium exhausts are pure titanium... so you may be able to get away with something else, but like what everyone has said above... that thing looks pretty ****** for, what would otherwise be, a premium system. I would pass. Racing Beat is dead sexy... and let's be honest: it's a rotary it just needs volume amplifaction in order to turn heads.

Thanks for the responces. Accordig a to the little bit of research I did it can be Tig or Mig welded. It looks like it already had one bad weld job done on it. Seems like it is not worth it even really cheap (275-300 + shipping). I am just having a hard time justifying spending 700-900 on an exhaust when it is only going to change the sound and do nothing for the power. Oh well. The only real gains you can get out on an exhaust for the 8 is finding one that is lighter, and those are all fairly expensive. Maybe I will just get a midpipe instead.
