Anyone install a vent pod in the MS3s? I want to put an actual boost gauge in the 2010 and have the vent pod but am just to chicken to start ripping out the vent housing. Help wanted! Will supply the beer.

It took a few hours yesterday and many trips to the auto parts store, but the gauge pod is finally in. A few pics for those that want to see what it looks like.

White Backlighting (for daytime)

Amber Backlight (matches the dash pretty well, turns on when the lights are on.)

I am really happy with the way it turned out. I owe the guys over at PG a big thanks for lending a helping hand. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested. My only regret is that I have nav so I couldn't use the other mounting solution that puts the gauges on top of the dash.

Since I am on a roll, I put these on today after work.

Not sure about the polished look. I might want to get them painted/powdercoated black in the future. I picked them up from another local 8 owner for $20 at the EvolvChicago Spring Fling Cruise. Now I really need some clear side markers.

Finally installing my test pipe.

Took a bit longer than I wanted but it's done. I took the car for a spin and noticed... NADA. I will do some logging and see what comes of it. The stock spring nuts were fubar so I got to run around looking for suitable replacement. I reused the stock springs after I cleaned them up and found quality replacements for the bolts. SLS didn't ship any lock nuts or washers with the hardware so I picked some up while I was out. Once I log and see review the data. I'll have a choice to make on moving to Stage 2 or not with the AP. Most likely I'll wait until I install the exhaust system and new Catted DP before making that change.
