One step colder what?

How often are you supposed to change the plugs? My car feels like it needs a set. This crap gas we have here in cali is to blame I think.

Anyone have experience with the Denso ITV-22's? Those are rated one step colder as well, and have a closer stock gap than the NGK's. Stock gap should be between .030 and .032

I just got the NGK one step colder plugs from Protege Garage and have been very pleased with them thus far! The car actually feels better under hard acceleration. Much smoother and it feels a little quicker. For sure better under top gear acceleration...
