and theyre wonderful, except one thing: now my angled exhaust sits nice and tight, and close enough where it melted part of my bumper. its not as bad as you would imagine, but it definately melted it. i tried moving it over and messing with it, and it just moved back after driving for 45 minutes. so is there an appearance friendly way to take car of it, like that metal that people sometimes put there? something that would be subtle?

does the exhaust sound the same??

my mazdaspeed exhaust actually touches the bumper and my bumper hasn't melted

my brother ghetto rigged his with a piece of rubber hose and a hose clamp on the hangers (metal parts)

you mean to pull it away from the bumper? got pics?

i had to do the same thing with my kartboy hangers. the hangers are not as wide as the factory. use a hose clamp on the metal hanger to keep it from moving.

i know this sounds dumb but i really have no clue what people are referring to because ive never had to use a hose clamp. got a pic or something?

im actually contemplating the DGM rear valence to cover up the somewhat screwed up bumper :( and i hate DGM but dont have too many choices.

here is the pic. i used the clamp to keep the exhaust from moving side to side. and helped center it.

so really its just a clamp around the metal hangar? interesting. so what should i do about the melted bumper lol?

no its too dark out, ill take one tommorrow. im pretty upset about it but i keep telling myself its not as noticable as it seems. tommorrow ill update with farther away pics and closeups.

nice job with the clamps, I prolly would have never thought of doing that. so the hangers dont make your exhaust higher/closer to the car, they just let it move from side to side? Imnot understanding....

is anyone having problems with the exhaust hangers on stock exhausts??? from what i'm reading it's all from aftermarket exhausts

yes i have an aftermarket exhaust. i put the kartboy hangers on to stiffen it up but the hangers are not as wide as factory. so i put a hose clamp so the hanger would not move side to side. works well i have no problems.
