Oil plug & gasket replaced by dealer

Had my oil changed at the dealer yesterday. I have it changed there because I get free oil changes for 3 years. When finished, they informed me that they had installed a new stainless steel oil plug and gasket under warranty because they were having issues/problems with the original aluminum plug (he wasn't more specific than that). Anyway, I just thought I'd pass this info on.

The original plug is not aluminum, but the gasket is. I've had problems getting mine to seal a couple of times, so I suspect it has something to do with that.

No it's not (although it's often referred to here as that). It's a simple aluminum flat washer.

I hear ya... I picked up the hex sockets for future oil change from HF last week.
