What is the best offset fit for 18 x 7.5 running on 225 40 18 tires for the Mazda 3s. +40 less or more.

MORE!! stock offset is 52mm so you want to get close to that especially if you are lowering, 45 isn't to hard to find and will do well in most applications, 48 is usually made by most wheel companys you just need to order as its not stocked regularly... good luck...

most guys have a 45offset with the pro kit and don't have any rubbing... but like i said the more the better....

Well I have 17x7 with an offset of +40. I was running 225/45's but when I got my ride dropped the front tires were cutting it close. I had to go with 215/45's. Better fitment and no rubbing issues to report up to this point :)

Well to what I have gathered I think +46 - +48 would be the right deal. Thanks alot you guys have been a great help. I will post pics of the outcome.
Corksport cat back, GM TSW vulcano 18x7.5 w/225 x 40 18 nitto neo gen. Eibach pro kit. For now.

Like it has been said (i think 9 or 10 times) I would never go with an offset LESS than 45 while about 48 would be ideal

yes but there have been people with 19x8.5 and 38-42 or so offset and they have had no rubbing issues. Im just trying to see whether it will work or not just asking jeez.

19x8.5 with a 38 offset? On a Mazda3? I have a hard time believing that those don't rub.

they may not if it isn't dropped (grabbin at straws here i know) but give him the benefit of the doubt before wavin the :bs: (but i to find that hard to believe....)
