OEM Brake Pad HELP

Sorry if this has been posted a thousand times but I bought new rear pads and they are too small. I searched the boards but never found any model #s. I just want the basic pad you can get from autozone/advanced auto. Does anyone have a model # or fittings for another vehicle that will fit the MSP. I heard the Madza 6 pads are the correct ones for the MSP. Any thoughts?

uhh, if you're buying brake pads from the parts stores, you are NOT getting the OEM pad

if you want to be cheap and get something that fits (with no guarantee you'll get good/safe performance), get the 93-95 RX-7 rear pads

thank you very much...i know there not oem but i am upgrading all the brakes and rotors this summer. i just need something to get by until then. does the part D332 ring a bell??? Thanks again for the help.

chances are autozone/pepboys/whatever won't have OEM-sized brake pads for the MSP. they will just argue with you that you have a generic Protege. go get OEM mazda ones, or order ones from an online vendor here like protegegarage or *************

thanks for all the help so far...i got the correct pads but now they are pressed against the rotors and make a grinding sound when the car moves. i thought that they would free up after starting the car but there was no such luck. does it take a few miles of driving before they do or did i screw something up.

once i started the car it freed right up. duh...thanks for all the help.

Napa sells the OEM size front pads but they are not a high performance compound. The front brakes on the MSP are different from the regular Protege so if you go to Autozone or Advanced you'll get the wrong ones.
