OEM Armrest installed

Hey, I have one question regarding the installation of the armrest; did you have to remove any of the front seats while doing it or any other part?

NO, (you need to pull up the front part of the center console and get to the rear console from the back seat.)

So when you install the armrest, would you never be able to take it out? If you do take it out, would there be holes? I can't decide whether or not it looks good on the car. Also, I don't want it to get in the way of the hand brake.

Yet another reason why I went with the Boomerang armrest, no holes at all

The best price I found for the OEM armrest was $128.00 shipped, forgot the website. I bought the Boomerang XT armrest for $106.00 shipped. The manufacturer has eBay auctions set up for "Buy it Now" of $149.99 or bid starting at $99.99, both w/ free shipping.

I just installed this guy in my 2. Installation was pretty straight-forward, although I should have taken more time to measure exactly where the holes had to be drilled. I was off by a couple mm's. It also didn't help that I used too small of a bit too.... I guess sometimes it's okay to follow instructions and not guy's logic "I'll make it fit..." Overall, very satisfied with this unit. It's very sturdy and fits the case to my glasses inside of it.

Installed this in my 2 yesterday. It was very easy to install and is fairly sturdy. It's positioned perfectly for shifting as well.

well don't feel too bad about the e-brake handle getting in the way, the speed3 has the same problem and costs twice as much. At least they had sense to make the thing telescope in and out. or as i call them "jack your armrest up" mode and "super mister drifto" mode

Had mine installed yesturday I like it so far I don't mind losing the cup holder either there's already four up front. I like the rubberized compartment too.

I recently installed the boomerrang XT arm rest! I got it for $100 bucks of eBay and I really like it. The installation was super easy, just follow the directions, and other than that no complaints! The extra cup holder is nice, and I like the way it looks. When I show it to people they think the car came with it
