O just something else :(

No the air intake pipe is coming directly off the turbo. The only way for the oil to get into this pipe is through the turbo, it is like the turbo is spitting oil into this pipe.
if that's the intake pipe, then the oil could be coming from something other than the turbo. if yours is connected like mine, and like most people, you have a 10mm (i think) vacuum line running between the crankcase and the intake.
when you enter boost, there's a valve (PCV) that's supposed to close on the crank case, and the turbo draws blowby through this vac line so it doesn't build up in the crankcase. if your PCV leaks - a known issue, the turbo draws the intake charge through the crankcase and deposits it in, that's right, your intake, turbo, and possibly intercooler.

it certainly could be bad seals which wouldn't be a total shock either, but replacing the PCV with one from a JDM milennia (i think) is a lot cheaper than building a turbo. another way to check to see if the oil is coming from something other than the turbo would be to put a fuel filter on the vac line i mentioned above. if theres buildup in the filter, its probably not the turbo, and is either PCV related, or you have a bigger issue with oil blowby in the engine. in either case, the turbo would draw the blowby into the intake.

and for the record - i havent seen many people complaining about burning oil either. that's not to say it doesn't happen. no one thinks anyone is stupid, let's be adults here.

No i'm just saying, it's not NORMAL for any car to burn oil.

If you're burning/leaking oil somewhere, you have a serious problem.

but a quart a week? well i think thats alot imho. and sorry i guess i misspoke

What distinguishes these class leaks?

Class 1 Leak = Condensation/Forming A Drip But Not Dripping
Class 2 Leak = Forming A Drip And Slight Spots But Not A Puddle
Class 3 Leak = Dripping And Forming A Puddle... Pretty Much Deadline

I've had a class 2 leak from my oil pan and turbo return line ever since i installed it(about 2years)... no problems here... no significant oil loss and i don't need to fill up my oil if at all unitl its next change... i have oil substance in all my pipes from my intake pipe, cold pipe, hot pipe etc... all is well and is normal... i suspect that the oil is not at all like a liquid and more like a gummy(sticky) oil right? If it's gummy.. its from oil vapors that build up over time..

most people grab the pcv from a superchrged milennia available here in the states. no problems

now is that the same millenia pcv valve on protegegarage or can u just go to autozone and pick one up cause thats what i did. i didnt know if they were the same

well it looks diff. than the one on protegegarage..............idk i went in and said i need a millenia pcv valve. and hes like its supercharged right. yup. so thats the one i got

They do sell them at car-parts stores you just have to make sure they have a different part number for the SC version and the standard. PG does sell the SC version, it might look diffferent but that is just brand difference.

MPI Nick does an upgrade on the stocker, or at least used to, not sure anymore. Yes nearly all turbos fail in their life, they are a consumable commodity. That picture is of your intake housing right. Shouldn't that be oil that is coming from the crank case vent into the intake tubing? Is there any play in the turbo shaft? Is there any oil in your hot pipe, IC or cold pipe?

do u or any else know who still does rebuild the oem turbos? is there a rebuild kit for em?

ive only heard of MPI Nick. ive seen some stuff that indicated he still builds them if you contact him through his website, but i dont have the link, and youll probably have to dig for it a little. supposedly his turbos were really nice too... bigger than the stocker but not the disco potato.

MPI Nick would hone out a stock housing to fit a 28 turbine. I believe it was on the intake side but I could be wrong. He also would port your turbo mani and s -pipe. He got very good results and many happy customers. I think I heard that he still does it as well but hard to get ahold of and there used to be a long turn around. I have no idea what the wait is like now adays. If everything was done I'd hook you up with my stocker but I am waiting on a DP before I swap out my turbo for the 28 I have sitting here. To my knowledge there is nobody else that does any rebuilds or modifications to the stock turbo. To rebuild it you have to replace the entire cartridge and that apparently cost nearly as much as a new one.
