could we paint the metal to match the factory black? or will it not "finish" correctly

I will buff them down so that they are ready for painting and have a reasonable brushed finish on them. But they will be able to be painted whatever color you want with ease.

The stock radio support bracket screws are long enough that they will go through that support and through this gauge panel and it should all fit nicely. Otherwise, the panel is thick and strong enough that it too can support the radio and that bracket can be removed.

The 3x52's will be done by the end of this week. They will be coming in a #4 polished finish. It can be sanded to become paintable, but should look nice by itself.

Price on this initial run will be 59 dollars shipped in the U.S.

Alrighty guys, I got the first batch of panels in, 4 of them are available for sale at this point. As these are the first run we'll do these cheap. On these 4 the price will be 45 shipped!! So if you want it, and are happy with the appearance in the pictures then you are all set!

Yep I can make you one. Turn around time would be about 2-3 weeks. Cost would be 63 shipped. Do you want the mazda logo from your hubcap avatar basically? The flying M or what logo are you looking for?

That was what was requested above, and I take it you are interested as well. Once I get the design done with input from you guys then it's a matter of about a week and a half to get the parts finished. So just give me feedback on what you want and I'll get it taken care of.

I know you guys want that flying M (right?), and to put it in the center. I was figuring I'd make it aobut the same size as the gauges are overall (52mm). The trick though is to make the flying M I have to break it up a little because the metal would just fall out and you'd have a weird hole and nothing more! I was figuring I'd make it so the flying part in the middle just arced out and didn't connect to the outer ring. There'd just be a sliver of metal where the ringcame to meet the wings.

I'll try to draft it sometime this week and I'll post models for you so you can look at it.

I've contacted Mazda USA corporate to try and get permissions for the use of the flying M as is appropriate per their standards. It's important not to commit trademark infringement. I'll get back to you and get those panels moving as soon as I confirm with Mazda USA!
