This winter i was driving straight into a blizzard with a head wind. Anyone from saskatchewan knows this is not uncommon or especially in canada at least. After about 45 minutes of this i noticed my car was losing power and i could barely make it up a hill that is not difficult climb in normal weather. My car couldn't go over 80km (whatever that is in miles for u crazy yanks) and my car wouldn't shift correctly in automatic so i used the triptronic and things got a little better but barely any speed. I took it to mazda and all they could say is that the tranny got too cold. My buddy who is a mechanic says that in these newer cars the transmission case is more bare to the elements and you can get a panel to cover this. I love my P5 like anyone else but if i'm living in an area with a rough winter i might need some better quality?? Has this happened to anyone else? I know 4 other guys in saskatchewan and alberta that ran into this but i bet down south its not an issue!
