I thought there was a thread about this in the mp3 forum but i didnt see it, and i dont know where it belongs but I pretty mcuh live in the MS forum so here we have it.....

Anyone going to NOPI Nationals?
Anyone been before? This is gonna be my first time at NOPI and my first time at a car show really.......does anyone know if you have to buy tickets in advance? is it like a concert where there are only a certain number of tickets for sale and it can "sell out"?

I dunno, how many of you guys are goin and is there anythin else I should know?

No you don't have to purchase tickets in advance.....but unless yer lucky it might be hard to find a decent hotel close to the speedway.....mine is 11 miles from the speedway....i used to be with a car club...and i booked 4 rooms....i still have all four rooms....but i think i will only end up using 2 of them....so if u cant find a hotel u can give me a shout and i might be able to hook ya up....the rooms i have are 73 bucks a night and i have them for friday and saturday.....i'm not gonna be down until late friday night because i just started a new job and i'll prolly have to work....This is also my first time going. I'm not gonna show...just there to have fun and see lots of kewl ass cars.....anyways...thats about all i can tell ya other than its a big ass show usually around 5K people or more are there....or maybe that was cars...anyways...thats it.

I would say that it's 5000 cars. The whole infield is filled with cars. Good deals on all kinds of parts.

im coming from CT, so i wont be able to take part in the trek from FL or wherever :)

My godfather lives just north of ATL so I am going to be staying with him but thanks for the offer.

and the nopi site says 5000 cars and 80000 ppl, cant wait!

Glad to see another Pro here in the carolinas. I will be going again this year. It will be my sixth year going and only my 3rd year not showing. I didn't show my 1st time and I haven't shown the last 2 years. Showing and just going are 2 completely different experiences. And well winning you class at such a large show is definitly a rush. I came in 1st 2 years in a row with my VW Corrado. No not as big of a class as say CIVICS(BTW There were over 1000 civics at last years show. I would have to say that 80000 people is about right too, at least for last year. Every year that I have gone it has gotten bigger and better with the exception of last year due to Sept. 11 and the cancelation of all air travel and fear of travel which caused only half of the usual vendors and bigtime show cars to not make it. This year is going to be HUGE:eek: If you can't make it this year then definitly try for next year. Next step for my friends and I is going to the SEMA / Nopi Nationals in Vegas......yeah baby(k)
