noise from windshield?

That's good to hear, if my dealer would "hear" the noise then they could fix it. Otherwise I am screwed.

You have to pull the wiper arm back off the windshield while holding the piece that connects to the car and line it up just right to pull it off. If the connecting piece is at an angle it bites into the stud and won't budge. Put some foam weather stripping on the inside of the cowl where it butts up against the windshield. Make sure the clips have enough of a gap to slide them up under the windshield when you put it back on.

I hate to perpetuate this thread but does anyone have any photos, of either the clips themselves or the installation?

Just performed a search to see if anybody else was having this problem. The rattle is very annoying however I am always listening to music so I won't bother fixing it for now.

Just get ti fixed, bring in the TSB and they should do it for you. I'd recommend doing it because it made my windshield quieter overall.

I just posted over in the 5 forum; I acquired some of these shims/clips as I've heard them refered to but all I received are some small pieces of fuzzy tape. I'll take pics of my install but after the snow stops flying-- so much for Spring...

Didn't work for me

My cowl already had the fuzzy tape on the top side of where the cowl fits into the windshield, so I added the ones I bought to the bottom side. Still get rattling, though.

khoney, that's interesting. Do you know if the location where the tape was already applied is the same location that the TSB refers to? Do you have any pics?
