ok so in addition to P/R i am also considering Nitrous.

want some suggestions if ya can thanks.

I don't know how the 3's respond to nitrous,so I can't give a valid answer. But from what I know, the 2.3's are a strong motor, but I dont know about the 2.0.

from what juan @ Hiboost has said, the 2.0L responds VERY well to mods and power

Zex is the safest choice from what I've gathered. I've actually been considering gettin a small kit for myself recently.

I dont know forsure man but unless you have the $$$ to rebuild the motor i would recomend not spraying. Yeah juan said that the 2L responds well to mods and power but to what point? If you went with something like a 100 shot you could blow a hole right through a piston. Anyways...just my 2 cents, i wouldnt do it just for the fear of blowing my motor (again). HAHA

well put it this way...my car before the 3 was a 2.0L Neon. i had a 75 shot of NOS, intake, header, cat-back, but no upgraded P/R. i ran that for about 1yr and never a prob. now i know they are diff engines etc. but still

The Evo uses a 2.0L motor too, that doesnt mean we can run 15+ pounds of boost and expect the motor to hold up for as long as they do.
If you wanna try it then go for it, you can let us all know how it works out. There was another guy that did it on his 2.3L i think, i dont know what ever came of him or his car thought. ill see if i can find his thread.

Try the zex kit. Do a 35-50 shot. I dont think that your engine is as week as mine.

well i was looking at the ZEX kit that is a direct port system...it can be adjusted between 50-200shot. so i figure i can start out smaller and if i want to or can go up a little higher. only prob is...it's like $900.

hey man,
been there, done that!

I am spraying since very long, like begenning of summer
with no single problems. I run a 55hp wet zex kit. If you
take the good precautions, and you're a smart ''sprayer'',
you'll have nothing but fun...and a powerful 3!

well thats good to hear. so by "smart sprayer" you mean not spraying into gears...etc..?....

i sprayed my car for about 2 years, and the biggest problem i had was misfiring. i had the colder plugs, but couldnt figure out what was goin on, so i ended up takin it out and now i am goin forced induction. I had the zex wet kit, and had no complaints about it at all. now it is gathering dust in my room. oh well, turbo should be a little more fun! lol

Ok here is my setup so maybe you'll understand a bit more
about the ''smart'' part!

1. nitrous wet kit (zex)
2. MSD window switch. Basically, what it does is to programm the range where you will be spraying by activiting the nitrous at a certain rpm and disengaging it at a certain rpm (ex: mine goes from 3500 rpm to 7000rpm)
That way you are sure of not spraying too soon ...or too late!
3. Nitrous gauge...to see if everything is all right in your bottle pressure
4. Bottle heater: to optimize your spray
5. NOS safety switch: to spray only if the gas pressure is right, if not that ''switch'' will not let you spray
6. Colder plugs
7. high octane gas

If you have other questions, do not hesitate
Happy spraying (thumb)

doesn't the ZEX kit come with pretty much all of that except the bottle heater and the cold plugs?

the zex kit comes with a tps activitated switch which means that when ur tps reads full voltage, than the zex will activiate the nitrous. u should get a bottle warmer because u need to have the gas up to a certain psi to get the best shot out of it. i also had a remote bottle opener that way it was able to get closed in case somtin went wrong and it made it easier to open. the kit also comes wit 55, 65, and 75 jets. any more questions, let me know, i know this stuff pretty well.

ok so then besides the kit i need to buy

1. Cold plugs - any specific brand????
2. bottle heater
3. bottle opener

anything else??
i will prob start @ a 50 shot and go up to 100 when i get my pistons

Well if you want to be real safe (which is always good when messing with nitrous)
Besides the zex kit, you will need:
1.Bottle heater
2. Nitrous gauge
3. NOS safety switch
4. MSD rpm window switch
5. Colder plugs

and then, you'd be REALLY safe!

ho and btw, if you want to shoot ultimately 100hp, you will probably have to mess with timing (standalone) and upgrade your fuel pump to be sure not to blow your engine....

ur best bet is to shoot no higher than a 55 shot. the manual says if u go any higher, than u would have to retard timing so many degrees depending on how big a shot u want. btw, if u would like to buy my nitrous kit, pm me, i can work somtin out.

edit: i know zex makes nitrous plugs, so u can check them out to see if they make yours. also, i used ngk, but u can use whatever, just make sure they are 1 to 2 ranges colder than stock!
