NEWSBREAK: Revised 'official' RX-8 HP ratings!!!

Atleast that below sticker, they were barely compeditive to the Z, S2000, STI, EVO, at the 250 hp claim. Now with having to lower it this much its barely more then the 6S. Not good for sales at all. I am hoping to see sveral thousand under MSRP witha rebate of some type.If It can come down to the high 20's I may have to grab one.

Hello, Gentlemen and Asshair (smolten).
Just visiting from Mazda6Club after a link about the debacle with the RX-8. You sound like a nice crew over here; nice to see Mazda owners represented so well! Well, except for this smolten fellow, who seems like a Grade A, USDA approved piece of Rectum from a donkey's ass. We also had a chap like this on our forum and after amusing ourselves for a bit pointing out that he had a few extra chromosomes, promptly banned him. So never fear, he is sure to mortally wound himself attempting to get intimate with some fruits and vegetables, a trick he learned when he spent quality time with his priest a few years ago.
If that time does not come soon enough, I will be in the NJ area next week. I don't know exactly where he lives but I have no doubt that driving around and spotting someone driving an M6 with his head up his ass, hat on backwards, leaned over on his passenger's side and bobbing his head to Britney Spears shall prove to be of little challenge. As if the big "Type R" sticker he undoubtedly has on his car and the "Powered by Dodge" will be hard to miss. Rest assured, when I do find him, I will (being the "middle aged dink" that I am) drag him out of his car and beat him with the ugly stick he's been so familiar with. I will then tie him to the back of my 6S and drag him over to the nearest Dodge dealership so that he may hang out with the rest of the Rainbow Posse and Pee-Wee Herman Fan Club that think that putting a high performance engine in an otherwise "Made for Barbie-Lovers" car makes it cool.
As for this thing with the RX-8, well it's still a freakin' RX-8. So some of us got duped on a few digits - take the severance package and continue to drive the sweet thing with all eyes on you. You are guaranteed to pull more chicks pulling up to the font of a club in it than smolten would be able to pull little boys pulling up to the front of the daycare center he frequents so often.
So again, kudos to the team and members here who are keeping it real. Have fun and if you see any of us 6 owners, honk and wave - we will no doubt be checkin' out your fine ride as well.

what really bothers Smolten, aside from being a mindless troll, is that the RX8 as tested still nails the SRT4 in every concievable performance category.
Lest get back to the RX-8 being the subject here.

Man, I was busy at work and with school for like two weeks and Mazda starts giving refunds and free service because they are scared shitless of a class action lawsuit. I just got done reading this whole thread and I can't stop laughing. First I was laughing at how pathetic the RX8 is. Then I was laughing at how all of you are attacking this smolten guy. You need horsepower to go fast unless the car weighs in at 2000lbs or less. And the RX8 does not handle as well as any other car in it's class(S2000, 350Z, etc).
To make a long story short, the RX8 is a bust. Lets hope they do better with the 2 seater.

if compared to these 2 cars, the RX-8 is STILL a very respectable performing car. They're even priced very similarly!
