Well I did it I went into the dealer to test drive a Mazdaspeed and liked it so much I traded in my MP3 for it. They payments went up 200 bucks per month but that is cause I didnt put anything down on it. I will have to refinance soon.

If anyone in the Waldorf MD area wants my MP3 John Koons Mazda on rt.5 has it for sale.

I must admit I was a little weary about getting rid of my mp3 cause it was my first car and I loved it very much but the power and added benifits of a new car outwieghed it. I am sorry to all my mp3 comrades but if you can find it inside to to tell me that I didnt make a mistake please do so.

you could have turbod the MP3 and came out alot cheaper payments, INSURANCE, etc. and not to mention alot faster! but to each is own

Why? Don't you think that some of us are going to MOD the MSP? The MSP has such potential, and I'm sure that when done right, it will be just as fast an any turbo'd MP3. Just think if MAzda does release a Boost controller for the MSP....hmmmmmmm sweet. I we will STILL have a warranty, and a Turbo designed by Callaway. Of course this is all speculation. But, the cars are just hitting the streets. Most not broke in, and regardless of that one guy here that got beaten in a MSP by a MP3, I'm not totally convinced that the car beat him....or the driver did just yet.

But god was that funny!

A kick? the t25 or t28 what ever the hell it is is SMALLER than the T3 offered with the MP3 kits.. The intercooler pipes are far less efficient the intercooler is smaller oh and did I mention the turbo is smaller?

such potential? yeah if you replace the intercooler , the turbo, umm what else... just think if mazda does release a Boost controller (yawn)wow what a mod!! with the extra $ he lost trading for the MSP or just the difference in price he could have had a stage 3 Spool kit or the fm kit and used the xtra insurance $ that he will be blowing on mods and you know he got the shaft on the trade!!

Anyway I'll stop now I do like the MSP but I wouldn't trade my MP3 for it.

it all depends on your situation. It is going to cost me about 1700.00 CDN TOTAL to get into the MSP. My payments will go up 30.00. I may even put another grand down on the car to get the payments clost to the same. That's still only 2700.00. AND now I got new tires so I don't have to replace them......Dunlop SP9000's in Canada...250.00 EACH before taxes, and then I have to get them shipped. I'm also getting a deal on new Winter tires/rims, as mine are on their 3rd winter.


A Spool kit cost about 3000.00 US. That's Just under 5 grand CDN before taxes, and installation and whatever duties there might be.

I love my MP3 ( when it's not clunking of course), and there are things about it I love more then the MSP...the color, the head unit/sub, and wheels. But, a Turbo kit is not an option where I live. There's not even anyone to take care of it.

Besides, the intercooler may be small....duh, but I don't think your seeing the whole picture. The car isn't just the Turbo.

If money was no problem....sure I'd have the Spool kit, or Begi. But...money is a problem, and this works out for me.

Besides, PortcityMP3....how's you warranty holding up these days? If your dealership doesn't give you s*** for what you have in your car ( impressive btw), your lucky.

I could have turboed the mp3 and mabey it would have been cheaper but it is 3 grand for the kit and god knows how much to install as well as it is not warrantied like this one is and I have a feeling Mazdaspeed isnt going to stop making mods for this car...

But anyway turbo kit aside the limited slip and ABS make for mods that are too expensive to put on the mp3 and all the mods I had done to the mp3 i can do to the msp except for the intake of course but somebody will make one for it i am sure.

Like I said before I loved my MP3 and would not have traded it in unless I felt better about this car.

Oh and by the way the mp3 i traded in had a replaced windshield, no functioning gauges a cracked windshield cowling, and all 4 rims were scratched from run ins with curbs. Not to mention the tires were starting to wear and with the MSP I got at this dealership if I get all my routine maintnace done at the dealer here, I get free Tires for Life, some program they are running to get people to use there car service.

But lets not get aside from the real issue MSP or MP3 whatever you own it is unique and it is special and screw every $%^&head that flys buy us trying to prove there civic with a $200 muffler and $20 worth of stickers is worth a damn!!!
