Newest Map for TomTom NB1 925 is out...No software updates past 10.851

I wonder if TomTom sued and required to do that for cars.
Nintendo was sued a long time ago and any Nintendo console or portable device now when you turn on has a health and safety screen that you must accept before you can do anything with the system. No other game system requires it.
Not quite. PS3 has to have the same health and safety screen display each time on start though you don't have to click through it. I think Nintendo just chose to make it a click-through.

So far: 10.852 - lost ALL my settings AGAIN - took me another 25 minutes or so to set everything back the way I need it. 2D to 3D is still a nightmare as it just flip flops back and forth. Start the car without the card in the slot because I forgot that the Home program demanded I stick it back in the computer after I update my car. Yup, lost all the settings again - ALL of them. Why does this stupid piece of crap not store that stuff on the card is... well remember the days of the floppy disks - no the real big ones 8 inchers. Well it pre-dates that! Safety improvements.... I just call it unusable, for 700 dollars I could have gotten a new headunit with proper working software, one that remembers the track on my iPod and does not take 3 minutes to scan each and every time and start at the same song (groundhog day!!). The biggest let down for me is that I truly believed this was going to work.....
Dealer - who can blame them - has no clue and says I am the "only one" complaining.... Oh really?

I am sure anyone who reads this will flame me, but we are crying because we have to accept a safety message on a touch screen that takes less than one second to accomplish....really? So instead we will dangerously fumble for our phones while driving, hit your 4 digit unlock code (or what ever security you have on the phone) , press the google map app, type in the destination, and squint at the screen to see where you are going or through it on the seat and listen? Maybe Mazda should supply a box of tissues with purchase.

I believe you understand the issue incorrectly.

The difference isn't comparing the accept of the safety screen to a phone with (or without) security. The point was that we didn't have to accept it before, now we do - we were used to an acceptable mode of operation and now it's less convenient for what most see as no reason.

10.853 was out shortly in June but was then pulled.

If you look at source code here.

You can see 10.853 commented out.
