I just want to thank the members of the site for the great information posted. I did a lot of research when deciding what my next car was to be and this site was very helpful. I narrowed my choices down to the Protege 5 and the Matrix. The test drive made all the difference in the world. The P5 was much more comfortable and although the Matrix had a few aminities the comfort and handling of the P5 outweighed them. Not to mention price.
Anyway, I got a black 2003 P5 with the Sunroof/CD package, roofrack and bumperguard and I love it. I will eventally tint the windows add the day/night/temp/compass mirror and maybe the carbon fiber dash kit. Other then that I plan to keep it pretty stock, the car has a nice refined design all on its own, especially the black ones.
