FAST!!!
Still handels really well. I mean really how often do i find myself on a windy road?
Warrrenty covered upgrades.(mopar)
Nice seats.
SOUNDS INSANE WITH MOPAR EXAUST!

Fast.. In a straight line, then again it's running a ton more boost. I am on a windy road as often as I can be. ;)

Mopar doesn't cover any of their parts.

Nice seats? Yeah, maybe in the 03s. Isn't Dodge ditching the Viper seats as the stocks? I've met a few SRT-4 owners who have told me this.

The exaust sounds like a turbo car with a lot of bendy pipe behind it. I actually like it, but I don't plan on keeping the stock pipe much longer on my MSP.

(Also: How many girls have walked up a SRT-4 and gone "NICE CAR!"? I bet the answer is zero, the MSP is way hotter.)

The MSP will need a piggy back or stand alone to run with an SRT/4. To do it daily it will need forged internals. Not to mention a 3" exhuast.

The only turbo proteges even near stock SRT times are those running as I have described. To my knowledge none have even come close to 12's, unless on race gas.

Well.............. I also had the problem of picking between the two cars. For about 4 months i was in love with the SRT-4 I went to every dealer in SD just to test drive them. On the week i was to purhcase the SRT/4 a fren of mine mentioned the MSP, so i went to the mazda dealer and looked at the MSP, the dealer only had a black msp and i really liked it, i loved the interior and the kenwood system, i just like everything about it. After looking at the MSP i had to give myself another week, i went back to the dodge dealer and looked at the SRT/4 to compare it with the MSP. The wierd thing was i didn't feel the same about it like i did before, until i drove it again then i got the feeling back. Well the next day i called the mazda dealer to talk to the sales man to tell him i was coming in. And he told me that they just got a new MSP titanium colared. So i rushed over there and saw it and fell in love. So the next day i went back to the dealer and test drove it, i knew it wasn't that fast compared to the SRT but man i love how it handled and the new body kit and the gun metal rims. So i bought it and had no regrets.

I give the msp its props. I have a friend that has one it is nice looking. I give the award for show, but not for go. I bought the srt-4 just for the go. I had owned a '01 neon r/t and really loved it. You guys are right about the radio. I do wish mine had a little more than what it has, but to say the inside is not that good looking. I would have to disagree. I think that the interior is really nice. I also like the outside. I am not a fan of the huge wing, but it works. I am also a fan of the wheels. Yet again it is not all about show. It is all about the GO!. I am glad to see more turbo cars on the road. No matter the brand as long as it is not a 'Honda'. I think those are over played. My only problem with the msp is the hp of it. For the price I would love to see another 20-30 hp.

I've raced stock SRT-4s from a roll and beat them. That was when I just had intake, fpr & 10psi. When I was at the track, there was a SRT-4 with "stage 1", intake, bov, & testpipe running 14.1s @ 99mph at 16psi. I ran 14.3 @ 98.5mph with just the intake and 12psi (stock exhaust, stock tires). Maybe every SRT-4 I see is messed up, maybe every one I see has a bad driver, I don't know...

I know our internals are limited to the equivalent of maybe 107mph traps (stock weight), but that's fine for me until the next car. I rarely see MSPs, that's my favorite incentive of this car. Aside from the nice stereo, the wheels, interior, suspension, etc... the fact that I don't see twelve of them a day, and seven thousand of them at car meets, as I see with SRT-4s, makes me happy.

stock vs stock.. the srt 4 will kill the mazda speed on a straight line.. the mazda speed however will kill the neon in the twisties.. and the mazdaspeed deff gets more looks from the hunnies.. -=)
i kinda like the srt4 tho.. just wish it wasnt a ****** neon -=\

i raced one from a stop at 15psi and some other things and pulled on it.....we just need to upgrade our performance items to what a srt has ie..fmic and then the boost upped (maybe a little more than 10) and should be good runs.
but SRT's are beasts....i must admit saw one with 245hp and 305tq....now thats what i call a little beast.
