Hey guys I was wondering if i could get some advice. I would like to increase the value of my car and the fun factor. I do not have hundreds of dollars to spend on upgrading. I would like to however do it piece by piece and install everything myself (that way I can afford to) Honestly I know nothing about cars for the most part. I am a computer specialist however...so i do have some skills..So the ? is What kinds of mods/things can I do to increase the fun/value of the car?

Some ideas I have but not sure how to go about doing it:
popup computer monitor in dash that has advanced systems diagnostics and tools(probably linux or such that empty space needs to go!!)

Upgrade radio/part of above maybe
Add better interior lighting
Add a spoiler/body kit?(i live in the city/country so...it needs to be tough?)
Increase engine performance
Of course.. maintenance on what i have already

thanks in advanced

similar to my situation :)
personally i will start from window tinting and installing some audio system..

Closer to spring i'm planning to buy new rims on low-profile tires..

To be honest guys, any modifications that you make to you cars will only increase the value in your mind. Nobody will pay extra for something that is installed on the car unless they are idiots. Again my opinion. End rant.
Now onto an answer for you both. Window tint is a nice upgrade and possibly the only thing that adds value. Suspension mods are nice (lowering springs or coilovers and swaybar/s), better handleing is always a good thing. Aftermarket wheels are nice as well (a lighter wheel than stock is best IMO since it is easier to get going you will get a little extra on take-off from a stop). Audio/video is cool too. There are things to do for engine performance as well, cold air intake, intake manifold, header, exhaust system, balance shaft delete just to name a few. Best advice I can give is use google and the various Mazda forums for help and advice. Good luck!
