New to Mazda

I'm coming from a '95 Mercedes E300D and was happy to find an '09 3i 4-door in Copper Red. Unfortunately, it's an automatic but I needed a car and couldn't find a decent manual. I never got into forums for the Mercedes, but back when I had a VW TDI I was pretty active. This looks like a very informative place, so I look forward to spending some time here.

I've ordered some of Mazda's all weather mats and just put a set of splash guards on today. I doubt there will be many modifications in my car's future, but we'll see how it goes.

I have a few questions. It seems the headlights (low beams) are aimed quite low--my experience with projector beams has been excellent, so I'm guessing a simple adjustment will give me the results I want?

From what I've heard from my brother who has a 6, the AC systems Mazda uses do not get the car as cold as many other vehicles. Using recirc in the recent 90+ weather is the only way to keep the interior comfortable even after a long 30+ minute drive. Does that sound about right?

Welcome. I've never aimed the lights in my 3 but there are adjustment knobs on the back of the headlight. And yes the ac in the 3 sucks big time.

Yes really crappy a/c's Mine died after 2.5 years down here in fl. the a/c is really my only complaint besides Customer Service.

yeah the a/c in the 3s definitely leave something to be desired...its been in the high 90's and very humid the past week and ive been starting my car and running the a/c for 10 minutes just so i dont have to sit in a humid inferno whenever i go anywhere
