New Tires....

Its spring, and its time to put the racing harts back on. I need to get new tires.
The options are pretty limited for the 210/40/17. The Yokohama AVS ES100 look to be the best.

Has anyone used 205/40/17, the overall dimension on the tire is only .15 inches different.
Plus, Continental has their ContiTouringContact CH95 tire that has a 60,000 mile warranty for only $78 a tire.
Granted these aren't the best tire, but they will last longer.

Any comments?

don't all the stock mp3s come with 205/45/17s?

maybe i'm confused, but are you putting 210/40/17s on stock mp3 rims?

i am not a big fan on the mileage warranties. i usually want to buy a better performance tire. but for low profile tires, a road hazard warranty can usually be beneficial.

the avs es100s are supposed to be pretty nice. i have the parada spec-2s on at the moment.

i think tires are worth good money. but how much you want to spend all depends on your priorities and preferences. i wouldn't personally buy the continental's, but it's up to you

i can get you a nice set of Toyo or Falkens at a good rate if you are interested. just ask Matthew - he got his tires from me at a great price.

Two thumbs up for the AVS ES 100s! They're what the Dunlops should've been, for a fraction of the cost. *Quiet*, don't pull you all over the place, sticky, good wet traction.
