New Stereo Install-(similar to DSS 3 digital)

2024 Volvo XC60 Recharge Ultimate
After having this stuff sit around my living room for two months, I finally got around to installing everything.

Basic Specs:

*Caska head unit with digital screen-it's like the one at caradvanced.com-but a digital screen. I bought a test unit for possible importation for sale in the US.
*JL Audio 250/1 amp
*JL Audio 300/4 v3 amp
*Infinity Reference 6830cs Speakers
*JL Audio 12" DVC subwoofer (acoustic suspension enclosure)
*JL Audio 4 gauge amp power kit/fuse block/distribution block

It took about six hours to do the installation-I had some trouble shooting to do during the installation with several interruptions. I could probably do it in about two hours now...most of the time was used to figure out how to remove panels without breaking them (I wound up breaking one part and scratching another).

Let me know if you have any questions...it sounds amazing. There is no power clipping, no dimming lights, no whining...just pure clean sound.

I don't have factory navigation but this unit has it. I haven't been able to test it due to the fact that the SD card was attached to the outside of the box and was damaged upon shipping. I inquired with the seller and they'll be sending me a new SD card at some point. Future shipments will have the SD cards inside the box (the seller didn't know why his shipping department put them on the outside).

I purchased the unit as a test unit from a distribution company in China. I'm testing it out in the effort to conduct a group buy later this month. I want to make sure that the unit is quality and meets my expectations before I offer it up for sale to anyone else. I also want to know that I can support the unit with answers to questions. So far, it's met/exceeded all of my expectations.

I've asked about color options recently and have yet to receive a reply (it's only been a day).

The amps under my seats have about 2" of clearance between the top of the amp and the bottom of the seat. They're both JL Audio amps and they don't run hot at all. A friend and I installed everything and we made mounts out of very thin plywood to use the old Bose mounting locations/hardware and then painted the wood black. The floor vents have plenty of space and neither the amp nor the floor vents for the back seats interfere with the other.

There's plenty of space under the seats if the amp is short enough and they're quality amps. Let me know if you want some close up shots of the amps/clearance.

I'll post something later on (or on another forum if 24/7 gets weird about it) about the GB for this unit once I have all of the information collected.

Trip functions are retained on the stereo. There's a trick to getting it to work (took me about 20 minutes to figure it out due to a lack of clear installation instructions)...I really haven't found a downside to this unit yet.

I also bought universal 3 different double DIN units for testing purposes and installed one in my friend's 2002 Ford Ranger. He's running 6x9 components up front, 6x0 coaxials in back with a Bazooka tube in back. We wired up the stereo directly to his speakers and with just the head unit's power-it's clean and loud. They're quality units...

That stereo is quite awesome. It makes me want to do more with mine. I just got my mazda3last week. Is it hard to keep the lcd readout if you replace the dash unit? It seems to be integrated with the factory stereo. Thanks!
